Sintayehu is 12 years old, and in 7th grade at Repi Middle School in Kara Kore, Ethiopia. She likes to play soccer and wants to be an engineer when she grows up.

Sintayehu's father is disabled and her mother passed away. Her older sister, Jembere, takes care of both of them. Since she is a child and her father is disabled, this family is surviving on the odd jobs Jembere is able to find. This family is living in crisis. If Sintayehu is sponsored for $35/month, she will receive daily meals and after school tutoring. If her family is sponsored for $15 additional a month, they will all receive monthly food rations and medical care, and her father and sister will receive priority to enroll in our Family Business Program, where they will be empowered to start their own small business.
