About Lelt Foundation
A permanent solution to
cyclical poverty.
Lelt Foundation is a 501c3 charitable organization, founded in 2011. We provide nutritional assistance, educational programs, and economic mobility opportunities to impoverished families in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Lelt Foundation works alongside families in Addis Ababa who are not looking for a handout, they are looking for a path out. Together with our community, we’ve built a program defined by measurable results and clear accountability.
Our mission
To break the cycle of poverty for families in Addis Ababa by addressing its root causes – hunger, lack of education, and economic insecurity – Lelt employs integrated, locally-led, and rigorously measured programs.
We believe lasting change comes from treating families as partners, not recipients. Every program we run is designed alongside the community it serves, audited annually, and refined based on outcomes.
