Redwan is 7 years old and in 2nd grade at Hidase Elementary School in Kara Kore, Ethiopia. His favorite subject is English and he wants to be an engineer when he grows up.

Redwan's father has struggled to support his 4 children. He served in the Army, and when he returned he had several low paying jobs as a guard at government offices, but recently he has been laid off. Redwan's family is in crisis as a result. If Redwan is sponsored for $35/month, he will receive daily meals, after school tutoring, and basic medical care. If his family is sponsored for an additional $15 a month, they will all receive monthly food rations and medical care, and his parents will be given priority to enroll in our Family Business Program, where they will be empowered to start their own small business and earn an income.
