Rahmet is 8 years old in 1st grade at Hidase Primary School in Karakore, Ethiopia. Her favorite subject in school is Science and she wants to be a pilot when she grows up.

Rahmet lives with her mother, Noba, and her younger brother. When Noba was pregnant with her son, Rahmet's father disappeared one day and never returned. It has been a difficult struggle for Noba to take care of her children, with her job as a street cleaner. This family is in desperate need of assistance. If Rahmet is sponsored for $35/month, she will receive daily meals and after school tutoring. If her family is sponsored for $15 additional a month, they will all receive monthly food rations and medical care, and her mother will receive priority to enroll in our Family Business Program, where she will be empowered to start her own small business.
