Hiwot is 11 years old and in 4th grade at Repi Primary School. She has 2 sisters and a brother. Hiwot’s favorite school subject is Mathematics, and her favorite food is rice. She dreams of being a long distance runner when she grows up.
 

Hiwot's parents cannot find work in Kara Kore, and her father is very ill. This family has no income. If Hiwot is sponsored for $35/month, she will receive daily meals and after school tutoring. If her family is sponsored for $15 additional a month, they will all receive monthly food rations and medical care, and her parents will receive priority to enroll in our Family Business Program, where they will be empowered to start their own small business.
