ARSEMA T

Arsema is 10 years old and attends Repi Japan Elementary School in Kara Kore, Ethiopia. She loves to jump rope and wants to be a doctor when she grows up.

Arsema's mother, Shewalem, has worked as a domestic cleaner for over 17 years, but suffers from degenerative disc disease. She cannot do any heavy lifting so it is difficult for her to find employment. Her husband, Timerga, has been bedridden from severe kidney disease and cannot work at all. This family is living in financial crisis. If Aserma is sponsored for $35/month, she will receive daily meals and after school tutoring. If her family is sponsored for $15 additional a month, they will all receive monthly food rations and medical care, and her parents will receive priority to enroll in our Family Business Program, where they will be empowered to start their own small business.
